Long time, no see.. Been a busy little bee, studying and making revue..

Anyway, dressed my doll as Malakian in SOADs video Sugar, I quite like the result :)

Saving up and challengeing yourself

Hi Dollies

I'm currently in the dire process of "Saving up on Stardoll"

It's much harder than you'd think, but I really wish to save up for a Luxury Suite , so that I may get an achievement and y'know, more (and bigger) rooms :D

I'm about 4/5 of the way there now..

It's getting reeeeeeally hard not to spend those damn SD's on jewlery and hair and stuff..

And I'm 90% sure, that had the Limited Re-Edition not been SS only, I'd be quite a bit porrer right now..

...

I should get back to studying again, that book on Evolution won't read itself..

...

On another note I'm thinking of challengeing myself  a bit (more).
I'm thinking of doing a month or so, where I dress my doll up as me.

My doll doesn't have the same clothes as me at all, so it'd be fun to see just how much (or little) we have in common.

Well, I do have an alternative style IRL (as others would describe it), but it is far from the same as my dolls.. Special.. Style..

Or maybe it'll turn out to be easy, since it would mostly be "basic" clothes, like pants, shirts and shoes?

Who knows, time will show - If I do decide to do it..

I mainly do SC-only outfits for my clients unless they ask me to "make it awesome no matter the price" - Which is the most awesome thing you can say to a stylist

P.S my exams are over soon and I'm very close to finishing a certain type of SD-videos.. CELEBRATIONS ARE NEAR!

How-To Costume: Raven from DC Comics (5 different costumes!)

The program I normally use has broken somehow (Which makes sense, since my computer likes to flimmer red and cyan colours on the screen and is pretty much help together by duct -tape) so all the pictures were made in Paint, but I hope they're alright anyway ;)

Let's start off with a picture of my doll in her costume, side by side with 2 versions of Raven :)

Besides the fact that I has to use a different nuance of purple (I wanted the cape to match), I think it went quite well :)

The items I used:

So most of the items I used to make my costume are no longer available to get (some are in the Bazar though but hard to find)..
I used some black items to make the back-side of the cape, any black items can be used, I reccomend wide skirts and dresses or bags. I also used a purple item to make the collar, what type of item it is doesn't matter, as long as it matches in colour :)

Ladydiver's Make-Up

The red stone in Ravens forehead is an essential part of her look and can easily be made using some small red jewlery-items, I used roses.

Raven's make-up is very plain with some dark eyes. I've gived her some long lashes because that is what I prefer :)

Ravens hair in Teen Titans is shoulderlength, but it is also often longer tha that, so there are many hairstyles to choose from.

SO I've put together FOUR (4) different costumes all available in the StarPlaza

I've done 2 using both Stardollars and Starcoins and 2 only using Starcoins.

There's a purple version and a black version of each, since Raven's clothes at times is black instead of purple.

I've chosen the items which I think were best, but there are plenty more to choose from in th eStarPlaza, there are for example a LOT or long black boots, so there are many more ways to make the costumes :)

Mix and match the items to find your very own combination which you like.

Fantasy/Faeiry-tale Dress-Up Competition!

Yay! I love dressing my doll up in a lot of different ways (Right now, my doll is a dragon-warrior!)

So here's a little competition, where you have to dress up as a fantasy/faeirytale-character!

It can be a beautifull princess, knight in shining armor, evil sorceror, an ugly ogre or what ever you want! As long as it's fantasy/faeiry-tale themed!

You are also welcome to dress up as a specific character (if you want to), for example Snow White or Bilbo Baggins!

1st prize: items worth 150SC from their wishlist and a special prize from me.

2nd prize: items worth 50SC from their wishlist and a special prize from me.

3rd prize: will get a special prize from me.

AND all winners will have their costume shown on the club front-page and on my blog! :D

Daily Dolls: Suit and Tie

Inspiered by Justin Timberlakes' "Suit and Tie" I found, from the depths of my album dolls, some dolls wearing, not suits but shirts and ties ;)

Found some in different styles, first ones are classic, second ones with a colour-pop or twist and third ones a bit alternative :)

Themed Daily Dolls: Steam Punk Inspiered

So, instead of posting a doll Daily, which was my first idea with the "Daily Dolls" (Which I obviousley didn't manage to do, when did you last see a Daily Doll post? ;D) it's instead going to be me, sometimes posting a bunch of dolls linked to a theme :)

It's going to be my old looks, so it's still sort of my Daily Dolls ;)

So the first one here will be Steam Punk Inspiered outfits! :D Yaaaay.. Steam Punk is sorta punk mixed with Victorian styles and mechanical thingies.. Don't know how to explain it bette.. Anyway, I was semi-obsessed with it at one point (Thanks to Brian Kessinger, Disney Artist, whom draws a lot of Steam Punk drawings)

These are really about the skirts and how they give the looks different vibes.

How to mix and match, adding and removing items from the same outfit.

Just a bit of fun and creativity.

Costumes of Halloween '13

This yearI made quite a lot of new costumes for my doll for Halloween and I thought I'd post some of them here :) They weren't all that successfull or serious, but thowse which weren't sure made me laugh :D

If anyone wants me to, I'll be glad to do some "How-To Costumes"-posts on some of them (If you want to know how for eg. Sallys dress was made), just let me know in a comment :)

1) Jason: I've had the mask for several years but for some reason I'd never thought of actully creating a Jason Costume.

2) Robot / Dalek girl: I KNOW DALEKS AREN'T ROBOTS! Don't worry.. I just wrote Robot,because not everyone knows what a Dalek is, so it can work as both ;) ... Dalek, because that dress just keep reminding me of the Daleks..

3) Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas: I had him planned some time before Halloween, I actully had planned, to do his face more Jack-Ish, by making some eyes in the Design-Studio, but I had no SD's, so I used my good ol' Skull-Mask instead :)

4) Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas: Well I had Jack,so I just had to do Sally too! Her dress was quite hard to figure out though :)

5) White which/sorceress: The red gloves, are supposed to make it look like she dipped her hands in blood.

6) Frankensteins Monsters Bride: - Not just Frankensteins Bride, since Frankenstein was the mad scientist, not the actual Monster. The Monster was named Adam (The first man, Scientist = god). I came by the dress and wig in this last year and I've been dying to get to use them! :D I'm working on a make-up tutorial for it, because I actully think it turned out quite well..

7) Dark Mermaid: That skirt took me about 3 hours to make.. It's make entirely from clothes and decor..

8) Scary Doll: Which has actually managed to scare one of my best friends ;D It's gonna eat you!

Daily Doll 4/2-13 + some critical words

Yay I'm making a post :D

I'm gonna show you how my doll looks today, because I like it :D And then I'm gonna talk a bit about a very important thing on Stardoll, the prizes/trophies (CG, NCG, Album, etc.)

First, my doll :3

I've gone back to my sort of zombie eyes, that I wear from time to time and then I've gotten some long red hair and 2 new piercings instead of the madonna piercing I had before :) And then offcourse, to make it all complete, added some tattoos! No "scary" look without tattoos ;D

As to the clothes, today I'm wearing a bright-pink baby-doll dress from the MKA collection that I found in the bazar about a year ago (called Empire Tunic), a pair of red, pointy heels from the Archive (simply called High Heels) which I found in the bazar yesterday for 3 SC! What a bargain for such old and lovely shoes! :D Though I had to zoom a lot to fit them on the feet without any foot popping out :) I'm also wearing my bow bracelet from the Voile Holliday collection (called Gift Bow Bracelet) that I got ages ago when it was in the stores for 3 SD ;) (before the SD/Sc-system)

Hope ya'll enojoy my doll as much as I enjoy showing it to ya'll :D

The other topic of this post is the prizes/trophies.

First my oppinion of the system: I don't think a user should be able to win the same trophy more than once a year. When I visit the winner's suites they often have a gazillion of the same trophies and that's just ridiculous, because as we all know, many of them has "cheated" their way to get them. They don't do anything that's against the rules, I know I know, but IT SHOULD BE AGAINST THE RULES. I see so many talented dolls around Stardoll who makes such beautifull suites, dolls, items, albums, sceneries, stylings and movies, who diesn't get any regocnition for it, because others "cheat". 

For example, it's really easy to win the Top Stylist competition, just make a lot of users and dress them up and make them buy the items. Not that hard.

To win any design-item competition, make a lot of users and make them buy your items. Not that hard.

In any competition, all you actully need is a lot of users.

I'm not saying it's wrong to have more than one user, in fact I got more users myself, but I have them because on Ladydiver I use one side of my creativity and on the others I use other sides of my creativity.

The reason that I'm writing this today, is beacus yesterday I saw this.

I doubt she got 3 users that high in the competition withou "cheating"

Again, when I use the word cheat, I'm not saying that they're breaking the official Stardoll rules, just that they're not playing fair.

In love and war all is fair. But this isn't love and this certainly isn't war.

Daily Doll: Geisha

Yesterday I got myself the lovely, wonderfull, glorious Geisha Wig! And I love it :3

It was expensive (600 sc) but now it'd mine :D

So today I made myself a Geisha doll (I got the orange kimono from my new and awesome friend Sziszi92 a few days ago).. It was quite a challenge because (as you can see in the background) I already have one Geisha Outfit and I didn't want to reuse any of the items from that outfit..

But I think my new Geisha Outfit is quite a success :3

Daily Doll 18th Jan. '13

So, my first "Daily Doll" :D

Today I'm wearing a pink victorian outfit :D

A few days ago a  really nice girl sold me the wig and I just love that wig :3

So you might see some more Victorian outfits in the next few days ;D

Btw, I'm only wearing two Stardollars items, all the other items were either bought with Starcoins or free ;)

The two Stardollar items are the wig and the corset, both easy to replace with non-Stardollar items. There are a lot of other strapless pink tops and in the Beauty Parlor, there is a hairstyle with the exact same shape as the wig :)

Ladydiver's Daily Doll? Sounds good? :)

I'm considering a new type of posts, where I'll post my daily (Well almost daily) doll, which means the outfit/look i'm wearing for the day :)

The main reason I'd wanna do it would be, to have a little "diary" of my outfits and to show you al just how much they vary :) 

Today I'm from the Victorian era, but yesterday I was a ballerina in black and a few days before that, I was Poison Ivy :D 

So you can see how I change? :D
